NorCal Premier Spring and Fall League

U8-U12 teams play both Spring and Fall soccer in this league.
Typically most games are played within the “North Bay Area”, though some teams may travel as far as Sacramento. However, if games are scheduled outside this area, the usual format is to play two games in one day (minimum 3 hour break in between games) to minimize travel expenses. Teams will only play on one day over that weekend, not both days i.e. maximum two games per weekend.

Play Days vs. Tournaments:

NSSC teams typically play in 4 to 6  Day Play days in April through July. Tournaments may also be played but spread out over the course of the year.

Older Age Groups will be biding for Regional and National titles while playing local teams in US club soccer Spring League including NorCal which begins in May.

FAQ

We hope we can answer your questions here.
Tryouts: Many parents, particularly those new to the NSSC or new to Class 1 soccer, do not have a full understanding of how NSSC works. Here are some very important questions that you would like answered before deciding on whether to join a Napa Sport team.

Answer: Napa Sport policy is that all competitive players must play at least 50% of the time over the course of the season.

Answer: YES

NSSC players have a ball, literally and figuratively, playing for their teams. Practice sessions involve tactical training but typically incorporate games or scrimmages. Playing against the best local soccer players is always fun. Players end up becoming friends with their teammates even though they may attend different schools and live in different neighborhoods. NSSC Directors look for feedback that the players do love playing on their team.

Answer: Napa Sport teams play soccer at the highest competitive level but the focus is on the development of our players; therefore we offer a recreational program as well. This year we will institute a non team structure for U6 and U8 beginning players. Our Goal is to let these u6 and u8 players play 80% of the time.

Answer: The focus is on the development of our players rather than winning games.
The number of victories a team achieves is only one measure of success. It is instilled in all of our coaches and all of our training that the development of our players' soccer skills is the true measure of achievement. We consider teams successful if the players improve their technical and tactical ability, develop age-appropriate skills, and display teamwork and sportsmanship. Our goal of developing players is insured by the club wide requirement that all players receive considerable playing time in games. Recreational players must play at least 80% of the time over the course of the season.

Q: What are the annual registration fees and Club fees?

Answer:  Club Registration is $35, dues $60-$50, Fields and referees $60, Uniforms $70, training $15-30 per month, Fall and Spring Leagues $30-$35, plus Fundraising for Tournaments:
  • Adult players (above U-20):  $35 per player (includes general liability and secondary medical/accident coverage).
  • Staff: $25 for carded (2-year pass).
